After a lot of "I should really put something online," it's finally live. This is the first weekly update — and unlike the polished posts over in Writing, this space is meant to be looser: what I actually worked on, what I learned, and what tripped me up.
What happened this week
I got the whole site built and deployed — writing, photography albums, and this updates section — and wired it up so publishing a change is basically automatic. The photography side is the part I'm most excited about; being able to drop a folder of photos and have a proper album appear feels like the right amount of magic.
Why weekly updates
Posts take me a while because I want them to actually say something. Updates are the opposite: low stakes, quick to write, and honest. If a week was mostly stuck-in-the-mud, I want to be able to say that too. The goal is consistency over polish — a running logbook I can look back on.
Next up
Getting more real photos into the albums, and finding a rhythm for these so they actually keep happening. More soon.
